Is Salvation Secured by Man's Choice or God's?
by GBC Ministry

John 1:12-13 (KJV) But as many as received him, to them gave he power ["the right"] to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God

 2 Thessalonians 2:13-14 (KJV) But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth: Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Philippians 1:29 (KJV) For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake;

Acts 11:18 (KJV) When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then hath God also to the Gentilesgranted repentance unto life

Acts 13:48 (KJV) And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed

Acts 16:14 (KJV) And a certain woman named Lydia, a seller of purple, of the city of Thyatira, which worshipped God, heard uswhose heart the Lord opened, that she attended unto the things which were spoken of Paul.  (cf. Col. 1:6)

Acts 18:27 (KJV) And when he was disposed to pass into Achaia, the brethren wrote, exhorting the disciples to receive him: who, when he was come, helped them much which had believed through grace

Ephesians 1:3-6 (KJV) Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.

Praise the Lord that He has neither subjected Himself nor left the fulfillment of His purposes to weak, fallible, carnal man. Instead, with perfect wisdom and love He has assumed full responsibility for the salvation of believers from beginning to end. Only He is Faithful and True. Ultimately, He will be glorified in all, for all, and by all, for "from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be the glory forever. Amen." (Romans 11:36)
