Valuable "Last Words"
by GBC Ministry
Friends and Brethren:
These would be appropriate "last words" from someone who loves the Lord and His body, the church, and desires for each member of His body His best blessing.
Apply them now; save them for later.
1 Cor. 10:23-24
All things are lawful, but not all things are profitable.
All things are lawful, but not all things edify.
Let no one seek his own good, but that of his neighbor
.
Romans 12:10-18
Be devoted to one another in brotherly love;
give preference to one another in honor
;
not lagging behind in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord;
rejoicing in hope, persevering in tribulation, devoted to prayer,
contributing to the needs of the saints, practicing hospitality.
Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse.
Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep.
Be of the same mind toward one another; do not be haughty in mind,
but associate with the lowly.
Do not be wise in your own estimation
.
Never pay back evil for evil to anyone.
Respect what is right in the sight of all men.
If possible,
so far as it depends on you, be at peace with all men
.
Romans 14:16-19
Therefore do not let what is for you a good thing be spoken of as evil;
for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking,
but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.
For he who in this way serves Christ is acceptable to God and approved by men.
So then we
pursue the things which make for peace and the building up of one another
.
Hebrews 10:23-25
Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering,
for He who promised is faithful;
and let us
consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds
,
not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some,
but encouraging one another;
and all the more as you see the day drawing near
.
