Thoughts For Your Day
by GBC Ministry

 "Take care, brethren, that there not be in any one of you an evil, unbelieving heart that falls away from the living God. But encourage one another day after day, as long as it is still called “Today,” so that none of you will be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin." [New American Standard Bible: 1995 update. (1995). (Heb 3:12–13). LaHabra, CA: The Lockman Foundation.]

"This day" is the day you are called to love and serve our Lord with your whole being.

"This moment" is the moment you are to prefer and honor others over yourself.

"This thought" is the thought you are to bring into captivity to Christ.

"This response" is the response you are to temper and control.

"This interaction" is the interaction in which you are to manifest genuine, selfless love.

"This word" is the word you are to speak with a tongue consciously and willingly placed under the control of the Holy Spirit.

"This decision" is the decision you are to examine under the light of God's holy Word and in submission to His will.

"This person" is the person to whom you are to witness as an ambassador of Christ.

"This opportunity" is the opportunity the Lord has given you to glorify His name.

In short, "where" you are today, right now, is "where" you are to glorify your Lord in everything. Do so with joy.

Living for Jesus a life that is true,
Striving to please Him in all that I do;
Yielding allegiance, glad-hearted and free,
This is the pathway of blessing for me.
Living for Jesus who died in my place,
Bearing on Calv'ry my sin and disgrace;
Such love constrains me to answer His call,
Follow His leading and give Him my all.

Living for Jesus wherever I am,
Doing each duty in His holy name;
Willing to suffer affliction and loss,
Deeming each trial a part of my cross.

Living for Jesus through earth's little while,
My dearest treasure, the light of His smile;
Seeking the lost ones He died to redeem,
Bringing the weary to find rest in Him.

O Jesus, Lord and Savior,
I give myself to Thee,
For Thou in Thy redemption,
Didst give Thyself for me;
I own no other Master,
My heart shall be Thy throne,
My life I give, henceforth to live,
O Christ, for Thee alone.
